Vision & Mission

Te Kupenga Hauora is a health provider based in Tauranga, New Zealand.

It was initiated by kuia of Tauranga Moana and established in 1990.

Through their wisdom and foresight our kuia identified a need for Maori children under the age of 5 years to have access to a culturally appropriate health service.

Nga Kohanga Reo o Tauranga Moana was an ideal group to provide this service.

The core activity of Te Kupenga Hauora is well child health promotion and cervical screening.

Education and promotion is a service provided that further supports Te Kupenga Hauora's holistic approach: That Mother's and Children's health  are inseperable.
